CACTUS DEFENDS COLORADO LOTTERY ACCOUNT
After a mandated review, Colorado Lottery has again selected Cactus as its advertising agency of record for the next three years. Since taking over the account in 2007, Cactus has helped the Colorado Lottery achieve record sales three out of the last four years, resulting in a 14 percent increase in revenue.
The three-month review included two finalists in addition to Cactus. An annual marketing budget of $14.9 million will support ongoing and new TV, radio, online, outdoor and print advertising, plus social media, promotions, event marketing and public relations.
Since Cactus took over advertising and marketing responsibilities for the Lottery, the agency has developed a number of breakthrough campaigns that increased awareness and favorability measures while driving sales to an all-time high of nearly $519 million in 2011, a $63 million increase over 2007. At the same time, Cactus developed and launched a number of award-winning campaigns that have been recognized as among the best in the industry by the North American Association of State and Provincial Lotteries (NASPL).
"Our agency is extremely proud of the success we have achieved together with the Lottery over the last five years," said Joe Conrad, Cactus Founder and CEO. "We are thrilled that we will be able to continue our work and help the Colorado Lottery grow its sales and brand."
